Western Aircraft, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announced today that it has completed its 10th installation of Gogo’s AVANCE L5 broadband Air-to-Ground (ATG) in-flight Wi-Fi system, with several more aircraft under contract.
Western has fitted the Gogo® AVANCE L5 as stand-alone installations and as upgrades to existing Gogo ATG 4000 and ATG 5000 systems. To date, Western has completed installs on the following aircraft models: Falcon 7X, 900DX, 900EX EASy, 2000EX EASy, 2000LX, Classic 2000 and Gulfstream G550. Upcoming installations include various models of Citation and Hawker aircraft.
“Gogo's AVANCE L5 gives our customers the ability to do the things they need to do to remain productive during a flight or enjoy a little downtime by being able to stream media, watch on-demand movies, get real-time data for cockpit apps and more,” said Western Aircraft’s Avionics Sales and Business Development Manager Walt Marcy. “Additionally, the AVANCE L5 operates on the Gogo Biz 4G network – one of the most trusted networks available to business aviation.”
Delivering a 4G experience to the cabin, Gogo AVANCE L5 delivers faster speeds and enhanced network capacity enabling activities such as live streaming video and audio, personal smartphone use, and remote diagnostics and support while in flight. The Gogo AVANCE platform offers a one-box software-centric solution that includes a built-in 4G LTE terrestrial modem providing connectivity while the aircraft is on the ground in more than 120 countries.
Western is an authorized full-service maintenance, repair and overhaul Gogo Business Aviation dealer.
