Western Aircraft, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announced today that its Aircraft Sales division has surpassed the $1 billion dollar mark in total aircraft sales since its inception.
Celebrating 60 years in business, Western Aircraft became an FAA Certified Repair Station in 1957 and close to 40 years later in 1996, it leaped into the business of selling Pilatus Aircraft by becoming the Pilatus dealer for the Pacific Northwest. Over the next decade, it would work to become the world’s largest Pilatus PC-12 dealer and a trusted partner to its customers.
“The sale of the aircraft is just the beginning of the relationship,” said Western’s Vice President of Aircraft Sales Phil Winters. “One key reason for our success is that through our service center we are able to provide full life-cycle support to customers who purchase airplanes from Western Aircraft.”
In 2011, Western Aircraft branched out and entered into the Piper aircraft sales arena by becoming the Piper dealer for the Pacific Northwest. That addition of sales combined with their preowned aircraft and Pilatus sales has helped them to reach the $1 billion dollar milestone.
Today, Western Aircraft remains the largest Pilatus aircraft dealer in the world as well as an Authorized Pilatus and Piper service center.
