Western Aircraft, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announced today it can now provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification and parts for air ambulances equipped with LifePort Air Medical Equipment.
Founded in 1990, LifePort is a world leader in the design, manufacture and certification of a broad range of mission equipment products for the aviation industry. It designs and fits medical equipment into all types of aircraft up to and including Boeing 737s.
“This unique equipment is critical to air medical operators completing their missions,” said Western Aircraft’s Director of Aircraft Services Jody Harris. “We are excited that we can provide the support required to help keep both patient and crews comfortable.”
Western Aircraft has provided support for a variety of air ambulance converted aircraft including Pilatus PC-12, Hawker Falcon, Cessna Caravan and King Air models.
“We recently refurbished equipment from South Africa,” added Harris. “The capability to accomplish work on this equipment without the airplane coming into the facility is vital to the air ambulance operator.”
