Current Openings Interior Upholstery Tech Exciting position available in our interior seat shop. Qualified candidate will have experience working on high end seat upholstery for mid to large corporate aircraft. Must have ability to fabricate new foam cushions, strip, recover, rebuild, pattern and sew to specifications provided in sketches, drawing or engineering orders for seats, divans, side ledges and other interior soft goods. Experience in processes and documentation in a repair station environment as well as a solid working knowledge of FAA regulations as they pertain to aircraft interior burn testing and the modification/repair of interior structures is also required. Employment is contingent on passing security background check and pre-employment drug screen. EOE Interior FinishTech Seeking an experienced Cabinet Finish Technician with knowledge and experience on various products that provide the desired finish on composite cabinets to include polyurethane, lacquer, enamel and stains a must. Qualified candidate will possess ability to build a high gloss finish on wood laminate bases and experience in sanding & polishing high gloss finishes. Must have knowledge of paint industry safety standards, ability to wear a respirator or air hood, and routinely lift 40 pounds. Experience in aircraft, automotive, or industrial painting required and composite fabrication experience preferred. Employment is contingent on passing background check and pre-employment drug screen. EOE Interior Install Tech Responsibilities include removal and installation of interior components, stripping and covering of components, ability to sew and serge carpet a plus. Candidates must have experience in corporate aircraft interiors with soft goods and own necessary hand tools for related tasks. Successful applicant will possess a strong attention to detail that provides proper care & protection of customer property along with a desire to exceed expectations. Preference is given to technicians with upholstery sewing, carpet fitting and other related aircraft interior skills. Employment contingent on passing background check and drug screen. EOE Ramp Conceirge As the first point of contact for business and leisure travelers visiting Western Aircraft, the concierge will welcome passengers and provide “Gold Standard” level of customer service. This is a part time/temporary position for the summer months. Schedule will be Monday through Friday with 30 hours per week. Duties include: transporting passengers to and from airport and other locations utilizing company vehicle, assist with baggage, stock aircraft with ice and beverages, marshaling of aircraft and various other duties relating to customer service. Qualified candidate is capable of lifting 30 pounds, presents self professionally and courteously, has a valid driver’s license and previous experience providing outstanding customer service. EOE Aircraft Maintenance Tech Aircraft maintenance technicians perform maintenance and repair on jet & turboprop aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and Repair Station guidelines. Position requires A&P Certificate, valid driver’s license, participation in rotating on-call airline support and availability for occasional travel. Interior Upholstery Lead Tech We are seeking a team and goal oriented individual with 4 or more years of experience fabricating aircraft upholstery found in VIP class aircraft. Lead techs must be able to recover, build and sew to specifications provided in sketches, drawing or engineering orders for seats, divans, side ledges and other interior soft goods. Other duties include mentoring their assigned technicians in related duties. Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively are a must. Interior Install Lead Tech We are seeking a team and goal oriented individual with 4 or more years of experience removing and installing VIP aircraft interiors with a strong attention to detail that provides customer property the proper care and protection. Responsibilities include the assembly and installation of aviation interior products (side panels, headliners, seats, carpet) and performing associated functional checks. Lead techs are also tasked with mentoring their assigned technicians in related duties. Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively are a must. Interior Team Lead We are seeking a team and goal oriented individual with 6 or more years of experience leading corporate (VIP) aircraft interior projects. Responsibilities include leading multiple jobs simultaneously, supervising crews, assigning manpower and ensuring completed work complies with the repair station manual and company safety policy. In addition, Team Lead will orchestrate the interior completion to include bringing together cabinetry, carpet and soft goods completion as described in a work scope or package. Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively are a must as well as motivating, mentoring, training and coaching assigned technicians. Interior Cabinet Craftsman Qualified candidate will fabricate and modify aircraft cabinets and perform other duties that support cabinet construction in corporate aircraft. Required skills include: Ability to construct and/or modify corporate aircraft cabinetry utilizing industry standard tools/equipment; interpretation of blueprints, engineering drawings or sketches in order to build/modify cabinetry; ability to apply veneer, laminate and hardwood to cabinets; general sheet metal, fiberglass, and plastic fabrication knowledge as it applies to aircraft cabinetry construction. Must be results driven and detail oriented. Excellent communication skills and ability to successfully problem solve are also required.
