Avionics Sales Manager
Responsibilities include selling avionics modifications, upgrades and mandated equipment installation primarily to Hawker, Falcon, and Pilatus operators both on the telephone and in person. Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities in Maintenance and Parts Sales. Accurately research and quote parts, labor and outside services for avionics projects. Take on sales projects for new STC development and “champion” projects with expertise in coordinating engineering and FAA efforts. Negotiate terms and pricing with customers within corporate guidelines. Organize sales trips to meet with prospects. Perform market analysis on target airframe markets and assist in developing avionics sales strategy. Requirements include possessing a solid knowledge of business aviation avionics systems, interfaces, manufactures, and marketplace trends. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while managing several projects and willing to undertake new responsibilities as business needs change. Travel up to 20% of the time is necessary for sales trips and trade shows. Successful candidate will be a proven achiever with strong team building and interpersonal communication skills. A minimum of five years technical sales in avionics or a related field in the aircraft industry is required. Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing or technical degree preferred.
